Mike O’Hara is an american singer-songwriter & guitarist from Syracuse, NY. Mike’s known for his dynamic & powerful vocals ranging a variety of musical stylings & for his ability to connect to his audience on an intimate level.  Mike’s solo career started back in 2014, but O’Hara was influenced by music at an early age. Mike’s guitar-playing is eclectic, he melds elements from the various kinds of music that influenced him, echoes of folk, bluegrass, 90’s grunge & early rock can be heard. Mike crafts songs from the extensive Dead family catalog which create unique experiences as Mike’s musical chemistry & individual talents sets the groove. And when the special moments arrive, he elevates and lifts you, tapping into the energy between himself and the audience. 

O’Hara as a soloist and songwriter has been on the music scene for years but Mike might be best known for his work as a founding member & lead vocalist with the Syracuse DEAD tribute band, Dark Hollow. Dark Hollow set out on their journey back in 1996 & continue to carry on the Dead’s live tradition, tapping into the collective band/crowd relationship transforming ordinary moments into magic. O’Hara’s vocals, the band’s strong musical chemistry & individual talents set the backdrop for a powerful performance. Mike has been billed & performed with Steve Parrish, Melvin Seals and Terrapin Flyer, Vince Welnick and many more.
